Accountant

Responsibilities include:

  • Payroll – review payroll & time and attendance system for accuracy
  • Accounts Payable – Verify accuracy and validity of all bills after input by bookkeeper, insure proper authorizations are obtained for all payables, reconciles outstanding payables for monthly statements
  • Accounts Receivable – Prepare invoices as assigned, responsible for monthly electronic billing
  • Account Reconciliation – Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to insure accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimum of 1 year experience
  • Experience in non-profit organizations a plus
  • Experience with NYS-OMRDD regulations a plus

Employment Specialist (Full Time)

Exciting opportunity to work in the Working Together program providing blended prevocational and supported employment services to people with developmental disabilities.  In addition to developing and obtaining employment opportunities in surrounding communities, you may also be working with program participants who have chosen to be employed in a business.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide assistance, support and training to enable individuals to obtain and retain competitive employment in integrated work settings.
  • Assess program participant’s capabilities, training needs and interests
  • Develop individual employment plans and maintain documentation requirements
  • Administer training in a classroom setting
  • Develop employment opportunities for program participants
  • Conduct in-service presentations at provider agencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience either in vocational rehabilitation/job coaching or in work with individuals with developmental disabilities. 
  • Candidates with 60 college credits and three years related work experience will also be considered for this position.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

 

Life Training Specialist, FT, PT and Per Diem

All shifts including evenings and weekends
Great Neck, Port Washington, Glen Cove and Westbury Locations

Work as part of a caring, dedicated and professional team to assist residents in residential program with daily living skills and activities.

Responsibilities Include:
Assisting individuals by role-modeling social skills
Providing support for individuals to interact in their communities
Ensure that environment is safe at all times
Follow individual service plans
Provide safe transportation in agency vehicles
Requirements:
Minimum of 60 college credits
Valid NYS driver’s license
