David Seinfeld
Retired High School Principal, Educational Consultant
David Seinfeld worked in K-12 education for 35 years, with most of his career in educational administration, both in NYC and on Long Island. He is most proud of his 19 years served as a high school principal, his work as a math teacher and his time as a varsity baseball coach. Since “retirement,” David has served as an educational consultant for LIU Post and as a “substitute principal” when schools call him out of the bullpen. David is married to Dr. Laura Seinfeld, who is the Dean of the College of Education, Information & Technology at LIU Post and is the retired superintendent of Oyster Bay/East Norwich schools. David and Laura have two sons, Joey and Robby, who are both married (to Erica and Jamie, respectively). David and Laura’s grandson Hayden was born to Joey and Erica on January 1, 2021.
I played Men’s Senior League Baseball (not softball) from 1991 until 2019 and I presently serve as batting practice pitcher for the JFK (Bellmore) HS baseball team. I am a volunteer oyster farmer out in Southold in the Cornell Cooperative Extension’s SPAT program to help ensure improved water quality in Peconic Bay. I have driven non-Tesla fully electric cars since 2011.
