Supportive Employment Program Details
The program is designed to facilitate different workshops and work trials with the intention of exposing participants to different career paths and discuss vocational related tasks.

Program Schedule
The program will run twice a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10am-2pm) to introduce activities to initiate the job discovery process related to the persons goals and dreams and begin to translate those interests into a job. People will also develop a plan of action to help them to be successful in their dreams and goals.
At the completion of the curriculum the person will have a specific plan set in place to help them reach their goal including strategies and steps people will complete in efforts toward their goal. Alike curriculum, the work trial will take place 1x per week with the intention to expose participants to different field domains.

Purpose of the Program
The purpose is to collect information about practical work performance by simulating a work environment that exposes them to realistic expectations. Staff will support, observe, and assess the person participating which will allow individualized and objective evaluation of their interests, skills, and abilities. The intention is to identify a person’s motivators, learning style, and areas of support needs.
This includes proficiency in multiple areas such as: physical ability/stamina, academic ability, interpersonal/social skills, communication skills, problem solving, stress management, safety skills, and response to supervision, instruction, and support. The intent is to collect this information and transition the person into job development that will lead to employment.

Thank You Community Mainstreaming!
“Community Mainstreaming has been a game changer for our family. As a parent of a child with intellectual and developmental disabilities, finding the right support and services has been challenging. But since we connected with Community Mainstreaming, our lives have been transformed.”
