Coronavirus Update
Updated IRA Visitor Policy COVID-19
March 17, 2020
Effective Immediately, CMA will be SUSPENDING IN-PERSON VISITS in our IRAs for the foreseeable future, in order to protect the health of our residents and staff. We are restricting in-house access to essential personnel only. We are asking all visitors, including families, to refrain from visiting CMA IRA’s until further notice, after the passing of the COVID-19 crisis. We are happy to arrange telephone calls or assist your family in setting up videoconferencing, if you would like to see and speak with them.
These are extraordinary times and we must take extraordinary measures to protects our residents and valuable employees.
Please know that we are doing our best to keep our homes clean and disinfected, to practice frequent handwashing, and to help our residents practice social distancing from each other as much as possible. Obviously, some people need hands on assistance with some tasks, but that is being done with frequent hand washing and personal protective equipment.
If you wish to bring your family member home for a therapeutic leave, we can assist you by packing their clothing and medications, if applicable, and having them ready to meet you outside of the residence for pick-up. But if you choose to bring them home, they must remain with you for the duration of the COVIID-19 crisis in order to minimize their housemates’ and staff’s exposure to additional people. If the containment period lasts more than month, we will make sure you receive enough medication to cover the entire time period your family is residing with you.
Thank you for your cooperation. We hope you all remain healthy and virus-free!
